The association is jointly sponsored by the Petroleum Geology Professional Committee of the Chinese Petroleum Institute, the Petroleum Geology Committee of the Chinese Geological Society, Beijing Petroleum Institute, the University of Petroleum (Beijing) and other institutions tentatively scheduled to be held in Huangshan, Anhui Province from November to December 1999 for a duration of 3 days .
