The article researches a new round of development in Shanghai needs for vocational education and adjusting countermeasures,emphasizes the study of two demanding subjects including economic de-mand and social people’s demand and puts forward some suggestions:enhancing the macro-adjusting the structure of the source of students in secondary vocational schools,encouraging to enroll the new students who are external province,urging to run school in grafting type and expanding the scale of vocational schools,estab lishing the training center for workers who are from other areas,strengthening the training of skilled talents who are engaged in man ufaturing industry,speeding up the construction of technical col-leges and making Shanghai become the base to develop senior skilled talents.
