使用多层网络用户应用系统和使用客户机/服务器网络应用系统在系统的体系结构上只有细微的差别。在某些情况下,多层体系结构包括三个层次:Web客户端、应用服务器以及后台数据库。拥有第四层的 Web 服务器可以使应用服务器获得更大的空间,毫无滞涩地运行。而在多层应用服务器系统环境中,系统的运算和通信工作可以扩展到数量众多的操作平台上去,所有这些平台则通过单一的网页或 Java 小应用来提供服务。
The use of multi-layer network user application system and the use of client / server network applications in the system architecture only minor differences. In some cases, the multi-tier architecture consists of three levels: a web client, an application server, and a back-end database. With a fourth-tier Web server, the application server can get more space and run smoothly. In a multi-tiered application server system environment, the computing and communication work of the system can be extended to a large number of operating platforms, all of which provide services through a single web page or a Java applet.
