“五四”时期的文学批评既承续了中国文艺批评的传统精神,又汲取了西方文艺批评的现代因素,在文化碰撞中实现了批评范式的现代转型。这种转型在批评术语、批评方法和批评文体三方面表现尤为突出:术语上,西方术语被大量引进,同时又对传统术语加以更新;方法上,不少西方现代学科研究方法成为他山之石运用在批评实践上;文体上,传统的书信体和序跋体经过改良与现代论文体一起成为文学批评的重要文体。这些变动增强了文学批评的学科性和理论性,使“五四”文学批评呈现出崭新的现代风貌。
Literary criticism during the May 4th Movement not only inherited the traditional spirit of Chinese literary criticism, but also learned the modern factors of Western literary criticism and realized the modern transformation of the critical paradigm in the cultural collision. This transformation is particularly prominent in the aspects of criticizing terminology, criticizing methods and criticizing stylistic features: the terminology has been introduced a large number of western terminology, while the traditional terminology has been updated; on the method, many modern Western research methods have become the stone of other hills Used in the practice of criticism; stylistically, the traditional epistolary and preface and poststage body have been improved together with the modern essay body to become the important style of literary criticism. These changes have strengthened the discipline and theory of literary criticism, making the “May Fourth” literary criticism a brand new modern style.
