他们是:时代潮头的瞭望者历史风云的记录员记者——两个带着光环的字眼。它传递着时代的先声,反映着社会的觉知,留存着生活的真实档案。记者能否客观、公正、公平、独立地记载社会和历史的事件,表达大众心声,将直接影响和推动社会文明、进步的历程。范长江的“为了解决某一方面的问题而不避艰险的工作”说出了记者工作的重要内涵。每一个历史时期,为了“记者”的神圣和使命,有抱负、有良知、有才华的记者们付出了极大的勇气和代价。黄远生弃官不做,成为中国历史上第一个专职记者;邵飘萍3次入狱,多次被追捕,却矢志不渝;邹韬奋创办6报1刊,1次入狱3次流亡;范长江西北考察历时10个月,行程6000余公里,首次公开报道了红军二万五千里长征……随着我国市场经济体制的确立,新闻界也受到了极严峻的挑战。平淡庸碌的记者有之,“跑官”、“奔钱”的记者也不鲜见;但个性强、素质高、反应机敏、视野广阔的名记者依然不少,他们是时代潮头的瞭望者,历史风云的记录员。中央电视台设立“中国记者风云人物”评选3年以来,展示了一批批优秀记者俯仰天地的高尚境界、悲天悯人的人文关怀、察微识险的人生智慧和一串串惊心动魄的真实故事,受到全国观众的关注。本刊从央视“2003风云记者”中和其他报刊的记者中,撷取5位记者进行再采访、再充实后,将他们的故事展示给读者。通过他们的故事,我们了解了出租司机、戒毒女、小煤窑里的农民工、被药物毒害的病人以及其他小老百姓的真实遭遇;通过他们,我们看到了中国记者的勇气、良知和对于真实、真理的执著追求。
