美国著名现代爱情小说《廊桥遗梦》的男主人公罗伯特·金凯有亲近自然,远离现代文明的倾向,与现代社会似乎格格不入。从生态主义视角来看,自然与现代文明存在着对立与冲突,从心理分析视角来看,个人本能欲望与现代文明也存在着对立与冲突。作者通过金凯体现了个人,自然与现代社会的错综复杂的关系,塑造了金凯这一生态斗士形象。金凯俨然已成为大自然的代言人。
Robert Kincaid, the heroine of the well-known American modern love novel Covered Bridge, has a tendency to be close to nature and stay away from modern civilization. It seems incompatible with modern society. From the ecologists’ point of view, there exist antagonisms and conflicts between nature and modern civilization. From the perspective of psychoanalysis, individual instinctual desires and modern civilizations also have antagonisms and conflicts. Through Jin Kai, the author embodies the intricate relationship between individuals, nature and modern society, and shapes Jin Kai’s image as an ecological fighter. Jin Kai seems to have become the spokesman for nature.
