计算机网络是一个时分多路系统,同其他网络相比(如PSTN),它的信道利用率比较高,但是,它的传输线路容易发生阻塞,分组的传输时间不太容易估计.因此,要在计算机网络中传输多媒体业务,必须限制网络中会话的特性,严格控制分组的传输时间.文中研究了受漏桶约束的会话特性,证明了受漏桶约束的会话的两个重要性质:①受漏桶约束的会话是网络中唯一具有最大时延的会话;②在基于速率的服务器中,如果会话S的最小带宽为r,那么,会话S的最大时延不超过Dmax的充要条件是会话S受漏桶滤波器(r,r×Dmax)的约束.
Computer network is a time-division multiple access system, compared with other networks (such as PSTN), its channel utilization is relatively high, but its transmission line is easy to block, packet transmission time is not easy to estimate. Therefore, to transport multimedia services in a computer network, the characteristics of the session in the network must be limited and the transmission time of the packets strictly controlled. In this paper, we discuss the characteristics of sessions constrained by leaky buckets and prove that there are two important properties of sessions constrained by leaky buckets. The session constrained by leaky buckets is the only one in the network with the largest delay. In the rate-based server, If the minimum bandwidth of session S is r then the necessary and sufficient condition that the maximum delay of session S does not exceed D max is that session S is constrained by the leaky bucket filter (r, r × D max).
