Mathematical models can be used to simulate soil erosion affected by weather and soil-plant-water interactions. Soil erosion models, including the Environmental Policy Integrated Climate Model (EPIC) (formerly Erosion-Productivity Function Model); Water Erosion Prediction Model (WEPP) and Wind Erosion Prediction System Model (WEPS). The CIGEN (Climate Generator) model has also been introduced, and the model has been improved to simulate changing climate. In 1992, Stork et al. Have modified the EPIC model to simulate the effects of C02 changes on plant growth and water use efficiency.
