笔者对雨林式盆景的探索与实践已有十余年了,得到了盆景界诸多同仁的关注。虽说到目前为止雨林式盆景创作还没有参考先例,且创作难度巨大,压力和风险也大,但是,要想走前人没走过的路,盆景人必须敢于创新、善于创新。创新绝不是空谈或一句口号,正如盆景理论家徐民凯先生在评述我的雨林式盆景时所言:“雨林式盆景是作者非常大胆的尝试,也是一次成功的创新。就目前来讲,中国盆景人似乎有着太多的惯性依赖,不少人喜欢沿袭既成的技法套路,乐于心安理得地做没有争议的盆景造型,从而毫无风险地获取所能得到的一切。中国目前也许并不缺那种技艺娴熟却永远不敢越雷池一步的中规中矩的
