莫里森的《恩惠》描写了北美殖民地蓄奴制初期背景下北美农场主雅各布(老爷)和他家中几位“帮手”的生活。本文运用盖茨的喻指理论,对文本进行意象喻指分析,透过表层语言探讨莫里森对于自我追求和非洲文化的另类书写,从而提示莫里森关于人性的思考和对祖先文化的热爱与传承。
Morrison’s “grace” describes the lives of North American farmers Jacob (the lord) and several “helpers” in his home in the early days of North American colonial slavery. This article uses Gates’s metaphorical theory to analyze the image metaphorically and explore Morrison’s alternative writing of self-pursuit and African culture through superficial language, thus suggesting that Morrison’s thinking on human nature and his love of ancestral culture And heritage.
