雷·库兹韦尔(Ray Kurzweil)的系列著作让“奇点”的概念得以普及,并引爆了新一轮人工智能的热潮。奇点理论认为,我们即将迎来机器时代:机器的智能程度远远超过人类,以至于人类既无法控制机器,也无法理解它们的想法。面对奇点论的未来预言,人们分成了两派:乐观的憧憬与悲观的恐慌。而我们所关注的则是,如何从奇点宗教预言式的理论回归到人工智能技术的现实中来。
Ray Kurzweil’s series of writings helped popularize the concept of “singularity ” and detonated a new wave of artificial intelligence. The singularity theory holds that we are about to usher in the Age of Machines: Machines are so much more intelligent than humans that humans have neither the machinery nor the ideas they can understand. Faced with the future predictions of the singularity theory, people are divided into two groups: optimistic expectations and pessimistic panic. What we are concerned about is how to return from the singularity religious prophecy theory to the reality of artificial intelligence technology.
