After the Cold War, the world arms market has shown new characteristics. The total volume of trade shows a decreasing trend; the trade in secret weapons has risen sharply; the military trade in Russia is coming out of the bottom; the arms stock in the Middle East is on the rise; the competition in Asia’s military trade is becoming increasingly fierce. The new trend of military and trade in the world mainly stems from the instability of the world and the conflicts in some regions, which stimulate the arms market. The government of the country directly participates in obtaining high economic benefits. The massive surplus of arms during the Cold War re-entered the market. The development of the world’s arms trade will see new adjustments along with this new trend. The sales level of arms will gradually become stable; the design, manufacture and sales will further move towards collectivization; and the market share of high-tech weapons will continue to increase.
