The meeting and exchange of experience in water conservancy technology for low-yielding and waterlogging in southern China, jointly held by the Farmland and Water Conservancy Department of the Ministry of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and the Farmland Water Conservancy Commission of China Water Conservancy Society, was held in Xinhui County, Guangdong Province from December 5 to December 10, 1983. A total of 106 people attended the meeting with representatives from relevant departments of the 13 provinces (cities and districts) in the central and southern regions.
