近年来,由于扩招等原因导致中学教育资源分配不平衡,优质教育资源越来越集中于城市升学率高的学校。大部分农村中学优秀生源流失严重,生源质量逐年下降,学校显现生存危机。为了迎接新课程改革,顺应高中教育普及的新形势,推进素质教育的发展,实现素质教育“以全面提高公民思想品德、科学文化和身体、心理、劳动、技能素质,培养能力,发展个性为目的”的目标,农村中学教育必须直面现实,提高忧患意识,转变观念,立足长远发展,做好中等生的素质提升和后进生的良性转化工作。
