Objective To investigate the value of ultrasound guidance in pediatric caudal anesthesia puncture. Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into two groups: the caudal puncture group (control group) and the caudal caudal anesthesia group (observation group), with 30 cases in each group. The control group to take the traditional body surface marker into the needle and resistance disappear method to determine the sacral epidural space position, the observation group using ultrasound guided puncture needle into the caudal epidural space. Record two groups puncture time, puncture frequency and caudal block success rate. Results Compared with the control group, the puncture time of the observation group was significantly shorter (P <0.05), the number of puncture was significantly decreased (P <0.05), the success rate of sacral canal blockage puncture was significantly higher than that of the control group P <0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound guided caudal pediatric anesthesia can be accurately positioned for clinical anesthesia to provide an effective method with a wide range of clinical applications.
