According to customs statistics, in the first five months of this year, China’s total import and export volume hit 9.16 trillion yuan, down 3.2% over the same period of last year and 1.6 percentage points from the previous 4 months. Among them, exports 5.28 trillion yuan, down 1.8%, narrowed 0.9 percentage points; imports 3.88 trillion yuan, down 5%, narrowed 2.5 percentage points; trade surplus 1.4 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.2%.
