当今年大部分卫生保健立法还处 于反复讨论陷入僵局的时候,一项关于扩大卫生保健安全网的法案是其中很少的被签署为法律的法案之一。 卫生保健安全网修正案批准给予社区健康中心一直到2006年的基金,并且许诺将给社区中那些贫穷的和未参加保险的人提供更好的福利。这项措施允许国会可以增加国家医疗服务的支出,并将给那些愿意毕业后去医疗条件不足的地区工作的医学生提供奖学金和贷款。

When most of the health care legislation of this year is still in a stalemate of repeated discussions, a bill on expanding health care safety nets is one of the few laws that have been signed into law. The Health Care Safety Net Amendment approved the grant to community health centers until 2006, and promised to provide better benefits to poor and uninsured people in the community. This measure allows Congress to increase the country’s expenditure on medical services and will provide scholarships and loans for medical students who are willing to work in areas with inadequate medical conditions after graduation.
