About 1920, J. Heyey Vvsky studied the electrolysis at the mercury drop electrode at Charles Lehigh University in Prague, Czech Republic, and used it as a method of chemical analysis. By 1925, he and Shikata invented the Polaro-graph, which automatically records the curve of the electrolysis voltage versus current to observe the results of the analysis.
