除了荷兰,世界上没有哪一个国家种植如此多品种的球根花卉。每年的四五月份,荷兰的北部和南部地区的田野中,一望无际色彩艳丽的郁金香、水仙花和风信子盛开。这一片花的海洋不仅仅是为了向世人展示,而是荷兰现代花卉产业的重要组成部分,因为球根花卉业是荷兰首要的出口产品。 令人奇怪的是,球根花卉不是原产于荷兰,如郁金香来自中亚,大丽花属来自墨西哥,香雪兰来自南非。由于荷兰适宜的气候条件和花农经过几个世纪积累起来的种植经验,球根花卉业才能在荷兰大地上兴旺发达。
With the exception of the Netherlands, no country in the world has planted so many bulbs of bulbous flowers. In April and May of each year, endless fields of tulips, daffodils and hyacinths bloom in the fields in the northern and southern parts of the Netherlands. This ocean of flowers is not just a showcase to the world, but an important part of the modern flower industry in the Netherlands, as the bulbous flower industry is the Netherlands’ first export product. Curiously, bulbous flowers are not native to the Netherlands, with tulips from Central Asia, dahlia from Mexico, and Frangipani from South Africa. Due to the favorable climatic conditions in the Netherlands and the centuries-old growing experience of flower growers, the bulbous flower industry can thrive on the Dutch land.
