在群星璀灿的现代中国哲坛上,以科学家的身份而留名的,丁文江大概可以算作第一人了。虽然,他并不是一个“职业”哲学家,但是,由于他在“科学与玄学论战中”的特殊作用以及他对马赫等科学主义的介绍,使得他能够处于中国现代哲学史比较醒目的地位。丁文江,字在君,笔名宗淹,1887年生,江苏泰兴人。在其15岁时就因才智过人而被泰兴县知县尤章纳为弟子。尔后即去日本和英国留学二年,1906年考入遐迩闻名的剑桥大学,1908年考取格拉斯哥大学,学习动物学和地质学,稍后又进入德国富莱堡大
Ding Wenjiang is probably the first person to be named after a scientist in the world of modern Chinese philosophy. Although he is not a “professional” philosopher, his special role in “the controversy between science and metaphysics” and his introduction to Mach and other sci- ences enable him to play a prominent role in the history of Chinese modern philosophy. Ding Wenjiang, the word in the king, pen name Zongyan, born in 1887, Taixing, Jiangsu. At the age of 15 because of his extraordinary talent was Taixing County magistrate Youku as a disciple. Then went to Japan and the United Kingdom to study for two years, 1906 was admitted to the world famous Cambridge University, University of Glasgow in 1908 admitted to learn zoology and geology, and later into the German Fort Freiburg
