In today’s world with the ever-fiercer competition and ever-closer international cooperation, a country’s development needs more high-caliber talents with international horizons. Children aged 8 to 16 are the hope of the country, and their education, growing-up, horizons and opinions are very important to the development of the country. One headmaster once told us: I hope all students are trained from their childhood in such a way that they can all start from the local point, pick up international thinking and aspire to serve the country and the world civilization .
在全球竞争日趋激烈、世界合作日趋紧密的今天，国家的发展尤其需要更多的具有国际视野的高素质人才。八到十六岁的儿童群体是祖国的未来和民族的希望，他们的教育、成长、视野、观念对于国家的发展尤为重要。一位老校长在对新一代的寄语中说过：希望所有的学生们都有国际视野，从儿童阶段便培养学生的国际视野，立足本国文化，俯瞰世界步伐，培养自己的世界眼光和国际视野，立志成才报国，有志于世界文明的进步。
Tongxin News Agency has a team of child reporters. Under the aegis of Chinese culture departments, education departments, and over 30 other related national institutions, together with foreign representatives in culture and education in China, it has now developed into the only authoritative child reporter team in China which is committed to participating in news coverage at home and aboard.
In the past days, the child reporters in Tongxin News Agency has enjoyed many splendid, joyful and meaningful moments, including their trip to Malaysia to interview the Malaysian President and officials, winning high opinions from the Malaysian Foreign Affairs Ministry, Culture Ministry and Education Ministry; their trip to Algeria and Micronesia embassies in China to interview the ambassadors; their trip to Great Hall of the People to interview Mr. Jiang Zhenghua, Deputy Chairman of NPC; their trips to NPC and CPPPCC to interview the delegates; their trips to Shanghai Expo to explore the US Museum and Canadian Museum and to interview the Expo officials and so on. Therefore, Tongxin News Agency has been recognized by many governmental agencies in the world, become the only child reporter team taking part in people-to-people diplomacy, and established a powerful international network. These child reporters have won unanimous recognition from many state leaders, foreign officials, and the public. China is proud of the children and the world is proud of these child reporters. These children happily grow up within the agency and display a more motivated, confident and international image of the Chinese children.

President of Tongxin News Agency Mr. Feng Yang said that the objective of the agency is based on the concept of “small hands shaking big hands”, to furnish children an international stage, make them concerned with the ongoing of the world, and enable them to make a small but important contribution towards China’s diplomacy in children’s perspective, thereby promoting world peace and harmonious development.
Meantime, Tongxin News Agency established branches in Vancouver and Maldives. They hope that more children in the world can join the child reporter team to protect the future world with their strength.
Child Reporters Yao Honghemei and Zhou Zehao in Tongxin News Agency said that they had learned a lot of knowledge and ability in the agency which they would never have had the chance to learn in their classrooms and met the most excellent people in the world. “We may still do not have the basic solutions to most of the problems facing us, but we can raise more people’s concern; we may not prevent some incidents from happening, but we can draw on our ability to prevent a small part of them. We appeal to more people to protect our planet, our environment, to stop child labor and to protect children’s right…We are young, but we believe that with our efforts, the world can become better.”
童心通讯社社长冯洋老师表示，他们的活动目标是让孩子们站在国际的大舞台上，关注世界的发展，以“小手拉大手”的概念，以孩子的外交、语言、眼光，为中国外交贡献一份小小的力量，从而促进世界和平、和谐的发展，同时童心通讯社在温哥华、马尔代夫等地建立分社，也希望能够带动更多的世界儿童投入到儿童新闻工作者的队伍，以儿童的力量维护未来的世界，
童心通讯社的小记者姚宏合美、周泽昊表示，在这里自己学到了学校可能永远也学不到的知识与能力，接触到了很多世界上最优秀的人物，针对当下的很多问题，可能我们还没有根本的解决办法，但是我们可以努力呼吁社会上更多的人来关注这个问题；可能我们也没有办法阻止一些事件的发生，但是我们可以发挥我们的力量阻止一小部分问题的发生。我们呼吁更多的人来保护我们的地球，我们呼吁更多的人来保护我们的环境，我们呼吁更多的人远离童工、让儿童远离伤害，切实保护儿童的权益......我们虽然年龄小，但是我相信在我们的努力下，世界会因我们而更美好。
Our thoughts decide our future and our visions shape the world. Faced with the kaleidoscope-like world, children should study hard and read extensively to broaden and enrich their horizons, and finally make real of their dreams. They should adopt a global view, absorb the advanced cultures of all countries critically, and try their best to read widely and acquaint themselves with the history, culture, art and mores of different countries. As child reporters, we can learn a lot. We can use our eyes to observe the world; we can use our hands to write the whole world; we can use our hearts to feel the whole world. To me, the world is beautiful.
My experience as a child reporter gives me the opportunity to learn more knowledge, enrich my knowledge, make friends with more people…There are more benefits as a child reporter; in a word, it gives me unprecedented experience.
The world we live in is beautiful and enchanting. Different cultures in the world have their unique traits. Facing the differences, we should respect the difference, and try to resolve it while seeking the common ground. We should maintain an objective, equitable and respectful attitude. We should not only respect the value of our own ethic culture, but also the value of others. We should communicate with each other, learn from each other, seek common progress and create prosperity on an equitable basis.
I live in a peaceful age in a peaceful land. While, unfortunately, some children live in a rain of bullets. Every day their life is filled with apprehension and pain. Many of them are traumatized in war, which causes them great pain and self-accusation. Over many years, the United Nations has taken every effort to preserve world peace. Although I’m just a child reporter, I still hope that I can make a small difference by using my pencil to arouse people’s attention to maintain world peace to help the children in other countries. We will actively cooperate with the United Nations and appeal to the world to protect the security of children and preserve world peace. We need peace and we do not want war!
We need to put our small hands in large hands to jointly maintain world peace. All of us want to live in a peaceful environment. So, let’s do something for the happy life of others. If all of us lend a hand, the world will become more beautiful!
一名小记者，我们能收获许多许多。我们可以用自己的眼睛，去洞察整个世界；可以用自己的双手，去书写整个世界；可以用自己的心灵，感受整个世界。在我看来，世界是美好的。
对于我自己来说，作为一名小记者，我可以了解更多的知识，扩展自己的知识面，增长自己的见识；结识更多的朋友，扩大自己的朋友圈子，获得更多友谊……做小记者的益处还有很多很多。总而言之，它可以给予我无限的从未有过的体验与体会。
我们所生活的世界，是一个美丽的世界，一个精彩的世界。世界上不同的文化各具特色，面对差异，我们应当相互尊重差异，求同存异。面对不同文化的态度应当客观、平等、尊重。我们既尊重自己民族文化的价值，又尊重其他民族文化的价值。平等交流，互相借鉴，尊重多样性，共同繁荣进步！ 我生活在一个和平的年代，和平的地带。而有些不幸的同龄人，他们则每天都处在枪林弹雨中。他们每天过的都是痛苦的心惊肉跳的日子。很多可怜的儿童在受到战争的伤害，他们的不幸使我深感痛苦和自责。近年来，联合国一直在为维护世界的和平竭尽全力。尽管我只是小记者，但我依旧希望贡献出自己一份微薄的力量，我希望可以用自己手中的笔，书写出自己的感受，让更多的人重视世界和平问题，尽最大可能帮助其他国家的儿童们。我们将积极配合联合国的工作，并且通过自己的努力呼吁社会，呼吁整个世界保护儿童们的安全，维护世界的和平！我们需要和平，我们不要战争！
我们要用小手拉大手，共同维护我世界和平。每个人都希望自己生活在和平的环境中，那么，让我们一起为他人的幸福生活付出努力。如果每个人都献出一点爱，做出一点贡献，这个世界就将变成一个更加美好的世界！

I’m a child reporter from the Tongxin News Agency. I’m from Shenyang, Liaoning province. As one of the youngest child reporters in the agency, I have participated in many activities of the organization. Thanks to these activities, now I can ask questions which I do not understand but I’m very concerned with more leisurely and politely, and my communication ability is greatly enhanced and my knowledge is vastly increased. The themes of these activities include peace, environmental protection, gratitude, self-improvement, and politics, offering me different understanding towards this world. As a Chinese youngster, I love peace, value environmental protection and gratitude, and I always aim high. Ever since I joined Tongxin News Agency, I have known my mission— I need to use my pen to write, my mouth to speak, my camera to shoot; I need to share my feelings with more of my companions so that they can love and protect the world and finally have a better life.
The world is a big family, and we are members of it. While I am growing-up, I find this world is being destroyed by adults, the resources are lessening, and our habitat is deteriorating. As a child, I know my power is limited. So I hope my participation in Tongxin News Agency can help spread my thoughts, my feelings, my views to more children of my age, even the adults, so we can build a more beautiful earth.
Mr. Wang Guotai, former Chief of International Bureau, State Council Information Office, once sent us a message: “You are the lucky generation in the information age. You are the wave-riders of the internet sea. You are the practitioners of news interviews, and the successors of media transformation.” I will always remember the slogan of the news agency, observe the world with children’s eyes, and spread news in children’s words. I believe that, as a successor of the news age, with my efforts, I will one day become a real reporter, a real talent and make my voices heard by all.
我是童心通讯社的小记者姚宏合美，来自中国辽宁省沈阳，作为童心通讯社年纪最小的孩子之一，我积极参与组织的很多活动。这些活动，对我的锻炼极大，使我可以从容的，礼貌的对我不懂的、我关心的问题进行相应的提问，不但提高了我的沟通表达能力，更让我的知识面有所丰富。在这些活动中，包含和平主题，环保主题，感恩主题，励志主题，时政主题。让我对这个世界充满了不同的认识，作为一个中国的青少年，我们热爱和平，我们要注重环保，我们要感恩，我们更要有一个奋发向上的品格。从加入童心社的第一天，就知道了自己的使命。我用我的笔，去写；用我的嘴，去说；用我手里的相机，去拍；以我的角度，分享给更多身边的伙伴去爱这个世界，去保护这个世界，积极地去生活。
