Dabashan, Wushan and Jingshan at the junction of Sichuan and Hubei provinces have a 500-square-kilometer primeval forest area, which is the famous Shennongjia. Due to its long geological history, it has not been attacked by Quaternary glaciers and has become a gathering point for many flora and fauna in the tropics and subtropics. Ancient relict plants such as Ginkgo biloba, iron fir, Davidia involucrata and precious animal golden monkey, Su Ling, leopard, etc. are distributed. In the tea industry, Shennongjia has long drawn people’s attention. Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty, “The Book of Tea” contains: “Tea, Jiamu also South, one foot, two feet or even dozens of feet, the Bashan Gorge, there are two people hold together,” the text of the Bashan, Gap means Shennongjia to Gorge area. The three countries, “Guang Ya” in the “Jingbian tea between the pie for the cake, into a cream out” and other records, also refers to the Shennongjia tea activities. Shennongjia, located in central China, is one of the eight centers of origin of cultivated crops in the world considered by famous botanist Vavilov.
