国内省级以上公共图书馆英文版网站建设尚未得到充分的重视。在建的英文版网站存在问题如下:缺乏实时咨询、馆际互借、信息门户服务,网页版式不够美观、技术不够先进、功能不够丰富,没有后期持续的维护和更新。公共图书馆英文网站应该提供公共图书馆的信息、服务、资源,根据英语使用者的浏览习惯、审美观念来建设网站,页面简洁大方,查找方便快捷,与用户高度互动,并重视网站的后期管理和维护。
