Shanghai Municipal Government held the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Award Conference on May 10, in recognition of the scientists and technicians who contributed to Shanghai's science and technology development in 2004. CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee, Municipal People's Government, Municipal People's Congress, CPPCC leaders attended the meeting. Chen Liangyu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Shanghai municipal party committee, made a speech at the meeting.
