Instructional segmentation is an important part of the teaching of small-language reading. Cultivating students’ ability to segment is not only training students’ analytical and comprehension abilities, but also a basic writing ability for cultivating students’ layout, and an organic combination of reading and writing. Only by understanding the decomposition of the article and ascertaining the context of the article can we grasp the center of the article, and improve the ability of writing that is well-ordered, structured, and appropriate. At present, judging from the test papers in my hometown entrance examination, the answer to the reading part has been seriously erroneous. The fundamental problem is the segmentation error, and the wrong interpretation is also followed. What is the crux of the problem? I think the key lies in the lack of segmentation method on weekday teaching.
