以教导产,以产助教,办出效益,办出特色。这是湄潭县职业高级中学在10年艰难的办学历程中始终追求的目标。正是这种苦苦的追求和不懈的探索,使从建校时“五无”(无师资、无教材、无经费、无实验实习基地)的湄潭职高,变成今天拥有占地251亩;建筑面积2.52万m~2;实验室14间,设备价值160万余元;藏书5.58万册的图书馆;教职工住房户均88.3m~2;校办企业有“四厂一场”,厂场总固定资产达509.3万元;学校固定资产总值达1036.45万元的大型职业学校。现在,湄潭职高开设了近30个专业,在校生达1010人,教职工101人,已输送合格毕业生1560人,短期培训近4000人次,为湄潭县的社会经济的发展作出了重要贡献。1996年,湄潭县职业高级中学被评为我省县级职业学校中仅有的一所国家级重点职业中学。
