Of the Canadian Chinese writers, Vincent Lam, born in 1974, is eye-catching. His first short story “Bloodshed and Odd Therapy” published in 2006 won the Gillette Award, the most important literary award of the year in that country, and became the first Chinese-American writer to win this award.
