“长桥卧波,不霁何虹?”这本是描述阿房宫的,但用来形容十七孔桥也再恰当不过。这句话道出了中国桥普遍的秀美。十七孔桥便是秀的凝结。远观十七孔桥,自然像一眉柔白的新月,匀整中隐含着张力。而近观也有别样的美感:在桥栏边,赏玩憨态可掬的石狮雕刻;在丝丝垂柳的岸上,靜观其近乎完美的坡与弧;在宽阔的桥洞可任自己的话音四散往返,余韵徐歇……
