At the first plenary session of the Preparatory Committee of the Soviet Film Workers’ Association, the chairman of the Preparatory Committee, I. Peleyev, made a speech to introduce the significance of the establishment of the new creation association and its tasks. The participants held extensive discussions on the mission of the association. Let me now present the summary of the speech at this meeting. Peleyev’s opinion on the mission of the Association, No. 7, 1957, has been reported and omitted here.
