针对精密加工过程中对刀具切削刃形状监测的需求,本文对基于形状匹配技术的刀具在机监测方法进行了研究.设计并搭建了刀具在机图像采集系统;利用改进的Brenner自动对焦算法实现刀具图像的高质量采集;通过改进的Canny算法计算边缘点位置和梯度方向向量,实现刀具切削刃的轮廓描述;最后根据计算在机获取的刀具切削刃和原始切削刃形状的匹配度来判定刀具是否磨损.实验表明,本文算法得到的刀具监测系统的监测结果与后刀面磨损量VB具有很强的相关性,且具有稳定性好、效率高等优点,因此形状模板匹配算法的匹配度可以作为刀具磨损的判断依据.
