矿山冲击地压对我国矿工来说还是一个比较新鲜的现象。到目前为止,只在抚顺煤田、大同煤田、门头沟煤田及开滦煤田等开采历史较久的矿区,发生过大小不同的冲击地压。矿山冲击地压最早于1933年发生在抚顺煤田的胜利煤矿。近年来,随开采深度的向下延深,冲击地压在一些煤矿都有发现,其规模大小很不一致。由于采取了一些技术措施,其危害性已初步被控制。我国煤矿的冲击地压,与其他国家煤矿和金属矿中所发生的冲击地压相比,有以下一些特点:
