Chinese classical poetry is divided into ancient and modern two categories. Close-verse began in the Tang Dynasty. It has strict requirements in terms of number of words, rhyme, tone and antithesis, as opposed to archaic poetry. This article refers to the Chinese metrical poems mainly refers to the rigorous close-knit poem. Chinese metrical poetry strictly limits the number of sentences and words. English metrical poetry is somewhat similar to Chinese at this point.
