虽然陈凯歌和霍建起同一年毕业于北京电影学院,却是处于不同时代的导演,将第五代导演陈凯歌和第六代导演霍建起的电影中人物情感的表达进行比较,具有较高的现实意义,陈凯歌的电影在注重商业化需求的基础上,形成了能够批判现实,关注社会历史的风格,在人物情感表达方面充满了人道主义关怀和哲学思辨。霍建起的电影在不轻视票房的前提下,达成了朴素自然,温柔敦厚的艺术风格,在人物情感表达方面善于摄取现实中的真善美的阳光的一面,力求将人物的内心的情感与观众心灵产生共鸣。
