As a result, China’s demand for wire rods, copper wire, steel wire, and raw materials for the production of nails has increased, making it an international market. The price of wire rods at the trough is bullish. Some major wire rod producers in the world have now increased their quotation for Japanese export wire rods. The price of wire rods exported from South Korea’s Pohang Iron and Steel Company to Japan has reached 50,450 yen per ton, which is an increase of 1,000 yen from last year. The futures quotation for Turkish exports of wire rods to Japan rose to US$336 per tonne (CIF).
