介绍了Ｘ 终端的体系结构和硬件、软件的设计，着重论述了中文Ｘ 终端的体系结构和实现方法，同时提出了基于分布式客户／服务器体系结构的Ｘ 系统的汉化新方法——汉化服务器，最后介绍了基于这种汉化方法的Ｘ 客户程序的设计．
The architecture of X terminal and the design of hardware and software are introduced. The architecture and implementation of Chinese X terminal are discussed emphatically.
