A National Day before and after, I chose the book market in Changsha and Beijing as the point of view to examine the current trend of book consumption. Changsha has its overall significance because of hosting the Tenth National Book Market, while Beijing is the largest trading base for various versions of books in China. During this period, Beijing Book Trading was run with ’99 Beijing Book Fair ’held from October 15th to 24th, with about 150,000 books entering the market.
