Objective: To analyze the advantages and disadvantages of minimally invasive surgery on pediatric hernia. Methods: One hundred and eighty children with hernia admitted from January 2014 to January 2015 were selected as the study subjects. All children were divided into two groups: control group and observation group. Both groups had 90 cases. Take traditional surgery and minimally invasive surgery respectively. Results: According to the basic situation after operation, the patients in observation group did not need to be hospitalized. The mean time of spontaneous activity in operation time was significantly shorter than that in control group, and the average amount of bleeding was less than that in control group. The complication rate in observation group was 10.76%, which was significantly lower than that in control group (40.1%). Conclusion: Minimally invasive surgery has the advantages of small injury, short operation time, less bleeding and fewer complications, and has high clinical value.
