一、正确认识兵团宣传思想战线面临的形势和任务当前,宣传思想战线既面临着难得的机遇,同时又面临着严峻的挑战。新世纪的大门已向我们打开,当今世界正在发生深刻变化,我们面临着复杂的国际形势。一方面,世界多极化趋势继续发展,国际局势总体上趋向缓和,和平与发展仍然是世界的两大课题。另一方面,冷战思维仍然存在,霸权主义、强权政治有新的发展。美国等西方反动势力一刻也没有放弃对我实行“西化”、“分化”的图谋,他们采取“接触”和“遏制”的政策,加紧运用政治,经济、思想文化、军事等手段对我进行渗透,不断利用人权、民族、宗教等问题制造麻烦,干涉我国内政。他们还采用各种形式和手段,对我进行思想文化渗透,宣扬西方的政治观念、价值观念和腐朽没落的意识形态,妄图在潜移默化中搞乱我国干部、群众的思想。所有这些,都对我们的改革开放和现代化建设构成了严峻挑战,对我们在全党、全国人民中保持建设有中国特色的社会主义共同理想和坚定信念提出了严峻挑战。

All of these pose severe challenges to our reform and opening up as well as to the modernization drive and pose severe challenges to our common goal and conviction in maintaining socialism with Chinese characteristics among the entire Party and the people throughout the country.
