中国基础教育的长处,是为学生打下了坚实的知识基础,但也付出了牺牲学生能力和个性发展的代价。美国基础教育的成功是培养了学生的创新精神和动手能力,但也使相当大部分学生牺牲系统知识与基本技能的掌握。两国的教育有很强的互补性,我们希望从两国课堂教学的差异中将双方的优点与长处进行兼收并蓄,得到有利于我国课堂教学改革的有益启示。
The strength of China’s basic education is to lay a solid foundation of knowledge for students, but it also pays to sacrifice students’ ability and personal development. The success of basic education in the United States has nurtured students’ creativity and practical ability, but also enables a considerable part of students to sacrifice their mastery of system knowledge and basic skills. The education between the two countries is highly complementary. We hope that the advantages and strengths of both countries will be combined from the differences in classroom teaching between the two countries and the helpful revelation will be obtained in favor of the classroom teaching reform in our country.
