引言 各种图件是地质学家在石油勘探中进行区域评价的基本工具。它们常用于表示构造要素与走向、沉积相的分布、沉积岩层的厚度和其它地质特征。虽然源岩资料已成为现在大多数勘探战略部署中必不可少的一部分,但编制源岩潜力图却不常见。用来评价源岩潜力的有机地球化学数据常以地球化学柱状图或横剖面图形式表示。当用源岩资料作图时,又常常只用一方面的数据(例如有机碳百分含量或者是热变指数值、镜质体反射率值或TTI值的形式表示的成熟度数据)去评价烃源潜力。编制烃源潜力图能使勘探工作者有机会将源岩资料和其他可作图的地质资料结合起来,这样就能更清楚地对烃类生成、运移和圈闭进行描述。
INTRODUCTION Various maps provide the basic tools for geologists to conduct regional assessments in petroleum exploration. They are commonly used to represent structural elements and trends, distribution of sedimentary facies, thickness of sedimentary formations, and other geological features. Although source rock information has become an integral part of most exploration strategy deployments nowadays, it is uncommon to draw up the potential of source rocks. Organic geochemical data used to evaluate the potential of source rocks are often expressed in a geochemical histogram or cross-sectional view. When mapping with source rock data, often only data on one hand (eg, organic carbon content or maturity data in the form of thermal index values, vitrinite reflectance values, or TTI values) are often used to evaluate Hydrocarbon source potential. The preparation of a potential map for hydrocarbon sources provides an opportunity for exploration workers to combine source rock data with other mapable geological data so that hydrocarbon generation, migration and trapping can be more clearly described.
