2011年7月1日,中国共产党成立90周年纪念日,这一天对于中国人来说有着非同寻常的意义。许多历史资料证明,共有两名共产国际人员参加了中国共产党第一次代表大会,他们是G·马林和尼科尔斯基。如果从知名度与国际活动情况来说,荷兰人马林无疑占尽先机,而化名“尼科尔斯基”的那个俄罗斯人则一直鲜为人知。几十年来,苏联(今俄罗斯)科学院远东分院首席研究员、历史学博士阿纳斯塔西娅·伊万诺夫娜·卡尔图诺娃一直苦苦追寻尼科尔斯基的足迹,希望为中共以及整个国际共产主义运动史册弥补不该缺失的一页。以下便是卡尔图诺娃关于调查过程与成果的自述,文中所说的“我”即指卡尔图诺娃自己,小标题系译者所加。
On July 1, 2011, the 90th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party has an extraordinary significance to the Chinese people. Many historical data prove that a total of two Communist International personnel participated in the First Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, namely G Marin and Nikolski. If from the visibility and international activities, the Dutch Marin undoubtedly take the lead, and the pseudonym “Nicholski” Russians have been little known. For decades, Anastasia Ivanovna Kartunova, chief researcher and historian of the Far East Branch of the Soviet Union (now Russia) Academy of Sciences, has been struggling to trace Nicolski’s footsteps and hoped for the CPC As well as a page on which the entire history of the international communist movement should not be missed.
