党校是党委的一个部门,是在党委领导下培养党员领导干部和理论干部的学校。党校的这种定位决定了其招生对象是各级领导干部,办学任务是提高各级领导干部的素质,办学方式也与一般的高等学校和成人学校有着重大区别。这就决定了服务于党校教育事业的图书馆,必须具有不同于一般图书馆的特殊职能。其中之一,就是为各级领导干部的决策提供咨询服务。在现代科技日新月异、信息时代已经到来的今天,党校图书馆为领导决策提供服务的途径,至少应当在以下几个方面进一步拓宽: 第一,创建电子阅览室,不断丰富电子化资源,为决策提供多层次、高含量的情报信息。情报信息是决策之本。领导者的远见卓识,在很大程度上依赖于掌握
