在泰国首都曼谷以南25公里的北榄府,有一个举世闻名的鳄鱼湖。这里养殖着各种各类的鳄鱼30000多条,还有熊虎豹彪,大象猢狲。与之相映衬的,是万紫千红的花草、随风轻扬的垂柳。 到泰国旅游,没有不去看鳄鱼的。1986年,鳄鱼湖曾荣获泰国最佳促进旅游业优秀奖。鳄鱼湖的主人,是潮籍华人杨海泉先生。 杨海泉先生原籍惠来县,1926年出生于泰国北榄府海口村。自幼家贫,几度辍学。他说:“我共进过3所小学,但学习的时间,合起来不够1年。”但他自幼求知欲极强,常利用工余时间自修,尤其喜欢读历史故事及名人传记。他10岁的时候,为了谋生,给人当杂工。
Located in Samut Prakan, 25 kilometers south of the Thai capital, Bangkok, there is a world famous Crocodile Lake.
