通缉,是指公安机关在侦查阶段,以发布通缉令的形式,对应当逮捕而在逃的犯罪嫌疑人,通令缉拿归案的一种侦查措施。协查通报,简称通报,是指公安机关相互之间通告犯罪情报,请求配合协查,控制有关线索和嫌疑对象的一种侦查措施。通缉、通报,是两项不同的紧急性侦查措施,是公安机关之间互通情报、协同作战的一种专门文书。其目的主要是堵截、查获在逃人员和赃物,查明无名尸体等。
