The translators of the three translated versions of “Yu Mei Grass”, which are currently available on the Chinese mainland book market, are respectively Mao Lumei, Lu Qushi and Li Zhen Sheng. Due to the cultural identities and gender identities of the three translators, they often reveal their own gender identity and gender bias in describing the same scene. This article starts with the relationship between translation and gender, and makes a comparative study of the translation of “Rattle Court” to find out the narrative significance of translator’s gender in the process of translation.
