旅行就像婚外恋。换句话说,旅行者总是试图背离乡土。对旅行充满想象,不可避免地会对自己的居所产生不满。人总有离心倾向。我们内心旅行的欲望,其实是寻求爱之圆满。只有在旅行中,我们才能领会到岁月的意义。我们总认为,在国内,只有新近的才是好的,至少美国人这样认为。但到别国旅游时,我们却只对古老的东西感兴趣。我们想看的是那些经过岁月的侵蚀仍保留下来的东西。旅行时,我们卸下防卫,抛开焦虑,寻找过往。我们的步伐不是向前,而是朝后。旅行的是我们最好的自己,如同穿上了最漂亮的衣服。
Travel is like extramarital affairs. In other words, travelers always try to deviate from native land. Full of imagination of travel, will inevitably be dissatisfied with their own homes. People always have a centrifugal tendency. The desire of our hearts to travel is actually to seek the fulfillment of love. Only in travel, we can understand the significance of the years. We always think that at home, only new is good, at least Americans think so. However, when traveling to other countries, we are only interested in ancient things. What we want to see is what remains after years of erosion. When traveling, we unload our defenses, set aside our anxieties and look for the past. Our pace is not forward, but backward. Travel is our best self, as wearing the most beautiful clothes.
