乡镇卫生院是农村卫生事业的重要阵地。经过50年的努力,我国广大农村已经形成了健全的县(市)、乡(镇)、村三级医疗预防保健网络,并通过其成功地对居住在农村的近10亿农民提供了有效的医疗、预防和保健服务,保证了广大农民的健康,健康素质明显提高,为世界所瞩目。随着社会主义市场经济在农村一步一步的确立,传统的乡镇卫生院正面临着严峻的考验。乡镇卫生院是农村县(市)、乡(镇)、村三级医疗预防保健网络的中坚力量,50年来为广大农民防病治病作出了巨大贡献,其历史功绩不容置疑。我国是发展中国家,人口的80%在农村,花不多的钱为广大农民提供较完善的医疗预防保健服务,引起了世界性的关注。解决农民防病治病一靠健全的医疗网络,二靠较为完善的医疗预防服务机制。具体地讲,我国已建立了一个符合我国国情的县(市)、乡(镇)、村二级医疗预防保
Township health centers are an important front for rural health. After 50 years of efforts, a sound county (city), township (village), and village three-tier medical preventive health care network has been formed in the vast rural areas of China, and through its successful operation, it has provided effective benefits to nearly one billion farmers living in rural areas. Medical, preventive and health care services have ensured the health of the majority of peasants and the quality of their health has improved markedly. With the establishment of a socialist market economy step by step in rural areas, traditional township hospitals are facing severe challenges. Township health centers are the backbone of the three-tier medical preventive health care network in rural counties (cities), townships (towns), and villages. They have made tremendous contributions to the prevention and treatment of illnesses by farmers for over 50 years, and their historical achievements are unquestionable. China is a developing country, 80% of the population is in the countryside, and it does not cost much money to provide comprehensive medical preventive health care services for the majority of farmers, which has aroused worldwide concern. To solve farmers’ disease prevention and treatment depends on a sound medical network, and on the other hand, a relatively perfect medical preventive service mechanism. Specifically speaking, China has established a second-level medical prevention and control system in counties (cities), townships (towns), and villages in line with China’s national conditions.
