According to Aviation Week’s July 19, 1971 issue, U.S.MEDA’s headquarters in Huntsville, Alaska, is building an advanced simulation facility that will significantly accelerate the development of new missiles and reduce its development costs. The entire facility will provide Army scientists and engineers with a tremendous amount of simulation capability to identify missile components, subsystems, especially guidance systems, and the entire system in real-world conditions without extensive flight testing. Army missile program officials estimate that the simulation capabilities provided by the simulation equipment will make the flight test
