在新世纪到来之际,高小华带着他旅居美国16年的异国生活体验回到中国投身于艺术教育事业。他应邀担任重庆大学人文艺术学院教授、硕士研究生导师及教育部人文社会科学研究项目的评审委员。2001年春,又以独立制作人的身份承接了中宣部重点项目,担任大型艺术景观《红岩村启示录》的总设计及该项目油画创作工程的总负责人。他以极大的勇气、毅力及才华,经过近半年的艰苦创作,数易其稿,终于完成了这项构思独特、令人耳目全新的艺术景观设计方案。对此,重庆市政府在2001年11月1日所举行的《红岩村启示录》制作工程签字仪式暨新闻发布会上给予了高度的评价:“该景观以一种全新的,开先河的大胆尝试,将革命文物与艺术形式有效结合,外化凝结于革命文物中的思想价值和精神力量。整个景观将充分发挥视觉艺术创作表现的优势,以分布于展厅三个区域的35幅大小油画、半景画、5组雕塑以及先进的艺术布置烘托主题,生动地再现革命先辈的思想品格,人格魅力。”高小华目前正在高架上紧张地进行正稿的创作。 高小华是二十世纪后期中国油画史上一位有杰出贡献的青年画家,他曾是“四川画派”的代表人物之一。他目前的大型创作,很有可能引发“四川画派”的第二次创作高潮。很有意味的是,当西方“架上绘画消亡论”在全球甚嚣尘上?
At the dawn of a new century, Gao Xiaohua took his 16-year exotic living experience in the United States and returned to China to devote himself to the cause of arts education. He was invited to serve as Professor of Humanities and Arts College of Chongqing University, Master Instructor and Ministry of Education humanities and social science research project review members. In response, the Chongqing municipal government on November 1, 2001 held “Hongyan Village Revelation” production engineering signing ceremony and press conference gave a high rating: “The landscape with a new, pioneering Bold attempt to effectively combine the revolutionary relics with the art forms to externalize the ideological value and spiritual power condensed in the revolutionary relics.The landscape will give full play to the advantages of the visual arts creation performance and take the 35 size oil paintings distributed in the three regions of the exhibition hall , Half-landscapes, five groups of sculptures and advanced art installations to make the theme vividly reproduce the ideological and charismatic personality of the revolutionary forerunners. ”Gao Xiaohua is currently working on an upright and straightforward creations. Gao Xiaohua is a young painter who made outstanding contributions to the history of Chinese oil painting in the late twentieth century. He was one of the representatives of “Sichuan Painting School”.
