宁夏甜菜分布在引黄灌区的银川平原,原料区耕地总面积为380万亩。从1970年银川糖厂正式投产到现在,甜菜业的发展很快,1970～1988年19年中,甜菜播种面积由1.34万亩增加到19.8万亩;总产量由0.42万吨增加到45.8万吨。宁夏甜菜糖业目前已经形成了一定的发展速度和规模。但是,我们也看到,随着甜菜亩产的提高而含糖却呈波动下降的趋势,到80年代亩产仍处长期徘徊的局面。19年来,宁夏甜菜亩产由1970年的314kg提高到1988年的
Ningxia beet is distributed in the Yinchuan Plain in the Yellow River Diversion Project. The total cultivated area in the raw material area is 3.8 million mu. From the 1970 Yinchuan sugar factory formally put into operation now, the rapid development of the beet industry, 1970-1988 19 years, sugar beet acreage increased from 1.34 million mu to 198,000 mu; total output from 0.42 million tons to 458,000 tons . Ningxia beet sugar industry has now formed a certain rate of development and scale.
